These positions provide direct care services to the agency’s residents in areas including, but not limited to:

• Activities of daily living.

• Interpersonal relationships.

• Cultural sensitivity.

• Productive use of leisure time.

• Personal hygiene.

Duties also include:

• Medication administration.

• Behavioral intervention as necessary.

• Required documentation.

• Household care.

• Demonstrated creativity, interest, and enthusiasm in service provision.

Qualifications:

• H.S. diploma (or equivalent) required;

• Minimum of one year’s related experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.

• Minimum 5+ years of driving history within the United States and a satisfactory driving record.

• Obtain and maintain a valid CT/MA driver’s license and available means of transportation.

• Use of a personal vehicle in order to perform assigned duties is required.

• Obtain and maintain certifications in CPR/First Aid, PMT and DDS Medication Administration per agency timeframes;

• compliance with, and demonstrated competency in all other agency training;

• Meets agency insurability requirements.
