Assistant Day Program Manger
The Assistant Day Program Manager supports the Day Program Manager in the daily operation and management of the day program for adults with intellectual disabilities.
This is a new program and will provide service to twenty-four (24) adult individuals when at capacity.
Duties include:
- Assists with the oversight and supervision of staff
- Helps to establish and maintain positive collaboration with families, DDS Case Managers, and community partners
- Promotes the development of independence and inclusion with person centered services.
- Assists with the implementation of all planned services/actives to program participants
- Ensures activities align with individual plans
- Maintenance of accurate records as they relate to the operations of the program and services
- Participation in required meetings
- Ensures regulatory compliance
Qualifications Include:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a human services field
- 1 year of experience working with intellectual/developmental disabilities required.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Use of a personal vehicle to perform assigned duties is required.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration.
- Must have well-developed organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to calmly and patiently manager challenging behavioral situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and computer software
